Who Admires You?<\/h3>\n

\nThe most difficult thing we may have to do each day is assess who we are and how we feel about ourselves. \u00a0The power we have to determine our own attitude is comically told in this story.<\/span><\/p>\n

“A famous clown from the circus feeling depressed visits a doctor. \u00a0The doctor doesn’t recognize the celebrity without his makeup. \u00a0The doctor after talking with the man says the best thing he can prescribe for him is a a visit to the circus to watch a famous clown at work.” \u00a0(Adapted from Biblical Archaelogical Review<\/em>, May\/June 2012, p.15)<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s not sell ourselves short. \u00a0Many people admire us for what they see. \u00a0If we could see ourselves the way others see us, even superficially, we would feel better in most circumstances. \u00a0So for many of us, we have the medicine to help ourselves. \u00a0This may be one interpretation for the Savior’s comment, “. . . Physician, heal thyself . . .” (Luke 4:23.)<\/span><\/p>\n
